Reviewed by Darlene Zschech "When The Message first came out, I went straight to the Psalms. I loved the way [Eugene Peterson] described all of these people and took them all off their pedestals. He talked about them as the everyday people that they were, and all of a sudden so many of the scriptures just came to life in a different way. It's been the greatest evangelism tool for me. I always have one with me when I'm traveling on an airplane or wherever I am because anybody can read it. When people open The Message, there it is and they get it. They understand it. I've never met Eugene Peterson, but I hope to someday, maybe in Heaven. I would love to thank him because I'm so grateful for how The Message has helped me in my own writing and in my own revelation."
